Authorship Policy

AUTHORSHIP POLICY

Based on the Recommendations for the realization, information, edition and publication of academic papers in medical journals prepared by the International Committee of Directors of Biomedical Journals (ICMJE). Rev Esp Salud Pública 2017Vol. 91

Authors, especially with original articles, must meet the following criteria:

  1. Contribute substantially to the conception or design of the article or to the acquisition, analysis or interpretation of the data.
  2. Have participated in the design of the research work or in the critical review of its intellectual content.
  3. Have intervened in the approval of the final version that is going to be published.
  4. Have the ability to respond to all aspects of the article in order to ensure that issues related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are adequately investigated and resolved.

It is the collective responsibility of the authors, not of the journal to which the work is presented, to determine that all the people listed as authors meet the four points of criteria. Those who do not comply must be recognized in the acknowledgments.
